The Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) is the recognized voice of the province’s planning profession. OPPI provides leadership on policy related to planning, development, the environment, and related issues.  As the Ontario affiliate of the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), OPPI represents approximately 3,000 practising planners across the province and approximately 500 student members.

Representing a membership of approximately 7000 planning professionals across Canada, the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) has been dedicated to the advancement of responsible planning since 1919.  The Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) is a collaborative national federation that advances professional planning excellence through the delivery of membership and public services in Canada and abroad.

The Canadian Red Cross mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity in Canada and around the world.  The Canadian Red Cross Society is a volunteer-based humanitarian organization founded in 1896 and incorporated in 1909. The Society provides disaster relief and humanitarian service to the public through its international, disaster, safety and community-based health and social services.

The School of Planning is the only planning school in Canada to offer programs at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD levels. The School’s programs and courses provide students with skills and perspectives necessary for successful careers as professional planners. Students are encouraged to explore widely the various academic offerings throughout the University in order to achieve their unique intellectual potential as individuals. The School of Planning is a professional school located within the Faculty of Environment.The academic programs in the School are recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners.
