Peak Oil Futures Session

Thursday, February 4.
9:00am-12:00pm.
MacKinnon 234.

The prospects of peak oil and climate change require that Canadian planners gain new knowledge and skills. This session builds such skills through scenario building and charrette exercises that will demonstrate community-based methods for planning in a carbon-constrained future, using the City of Vancouver as a game-board. The goal of this session is to build participant awareness of technical implications of peak oil and climate change, while practicing alternative methods for community engagement.
