Guelph City Planning Tour Mobile Workshop

A combination bus and walking tour of the City of Guelph led by Lise Burcher (Councillor, City of Guelph and Associate Professor, Landscape Architecture) and Ian Panabaker (Urban Design Manager, City of Guelph) will introduce the Guelph landscape and share some of the most significant planning challenges and accomplishments in the city.

Planning for Local Food Mobile Workshop

The ‘Planning for Local Food’ Mobile Workshop will take participants to Ignatius Farm, where Farm Manager Lorne Jamieson will introduce students to the farm’s activities and philosophies of organic growing, community engagement, and rural sustainability. These discussions will be complimented by Carol Neumann, Rural Planner with OMAFRA, who will provide insights into the roles of the planning profession in the future of local food systems.
